Jason earned his BS Degree from the University of Vermont and his Masters from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to coming to Berlin Health and Rehab Center he worked in Northern Vermont in a variety of settings from young children to geriatrics. Jason enjoys playing soccer, sailing, skiing and being with his family. Jason lives in Shelburne with his wife Jenn, son Ethan and daughter Arabella.
Kara received her Associates Degree from Becker College in Worcester, MA. Kara was born and raised in Central Vermont and has been a therapist for 15 years. Prior to coming to BHRC she worked as an outpatient therapist for CVMC with a focus on aquatic therapy. Kara enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and playing softball. She especially enjoys spending time with her two boys Bailey and Alex.
Laura received her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont. She has worked at South Shore hospital in Mass. for 3 years as a staff PT rotating through chest physical therapy, inpatient therapy, outpatient therapy, and cardiac rehab. Laura then worked at Norwalk Hospital in Conn. as a senior PT in acute care and also as an inpatient acute care/rehab supervisor. Laura enjoys spending time each summer volunteering at a camp for children with cancer and is looking forward to her 21st year doing this.
I earned my Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Perpetual Help Laguna- Philippines in 2006. I have worked in different rehab settings such as an In-patient/Out-patient tertiary hospital, Community-Based Rehabilitation Centers and worked as an instructor in the same PT school where I graduated. I moved in the US last September, 2011 and joined Premier last December, 2011. I'm married to my wife Maribeth and expecting to have our first-born baby this year. My hobbies are reading inspirational books and listening to good music.
Billie Jo earned her Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from Becker College in Worcester, MA. She has worked at Berlin for 14 years. Billie enjoys working with the geriatric population and enjoys learning from them as much as they learn from her. Billie lives in Moretown with her husband and her daughter Mariah. She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, art, sunshine and spending time with her family.
Janet received her BS Degree in Life Sciences from Stonybrook University and her Masters in Occupational Therapy from New York Institute of Technology. She previously worked as a pediatric therapist and became interested in adult rehab when working as a travelling OT for 3 years. Janet lives in Richmond with her husband Greg and two daughters Sydney and Lila. She enjoys kayaking, camping, gardening and skiing.
Karen has been at Berlin Health and Rehab Center since March of 1987. She started as an LNA and joined the Rehab Department in 2002. She enjoys golfing, playing pool and bowling. She has four children, Stephanie, Steven, Brandon, and Leo, and one granddaughter, Brookelynn, who she enjoys spending time with.
Shelley earned her Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from Champlain College in Burlington, VT. She has worked in nursing homes, acute care, and pediatrics, psych and hand therapy. Shelley lives in Montpelier with her husband Dylan, and her daughters Madison and Nyah. She enjoys running, skiing, spending time with her family and just being active.
Sarah grew up in Plainfield, VT, earning her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Vermont in 1999. After moving to Ithaca, NY in 2003, she celebrated the birth of her son and went on to earn her Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Ithaca College in 2010. Sarah now lives in Plainfield, VT and enjoys skiing, running and spending time with her family and friends.
Danielle earned her BA from the University of Vermont in 2009 and her MS from UVM in 2011. She was recently married and enjoys running, playing basketball, gardening, and hiking with her husband and rescue dog, Dre.
Chandra graduated with her Associates Degree from Lasell College in 1998. She has worked in Central Vermont for the last 13 years in various positions as a PTA. She is married and lives in Plainfield with her husband and two daughters; who enjoy outsmarting her everyday.
Marlaina received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts. She recently moved to Vermont in 2011 and is in her first year with Premier. She enjoys running, snowboarding, and going for walks with her dog Ellie.
Ariel received her MS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She recently moved back to Vermont after living in between Texas and Illinois for the past fifteen years. She enjoys yoga, running, art and spending time with friends and family.
Lucy has a BS/MS in Physical Therapy from Long Island University and a BA in dance and romance language from Sarah Lawrence College. She has practiced physical therapy in multiple settings including early intervention and the public school system with children ages 0-12, acute care in the neonatal ICU and cardiac units. After moving to Vermont from New York, Lucy worked in outpatient physical therapy and became a certified yoga instructor. She admires and is amazed at the design and abilities of the human body, yet she also respects its fragility and impermanence. Lucy has worked with clients from infants to adults and they continue to be her most valuable teachers.
Wendy has practiced Physical Therapy in Central Vermont for almost 40 years. She has focused on the care, and physical rehabilitation of the elderly for the past 25 years, including course work in the gerontology certificate program at UVM. She loves being out-of-doors, volunteering at the animal shelter, and baking cookies. She and her husband live in Middlesex with their pets.
